ECU Science students have access to a state-of-the-art $50 million science building, where government, academia and industry are working side by side to deliver world-class teaching, to collaborate and to innovate.

The building includes 2,500sqm of laboratory space over two floors which can hold up to 180 students at any one time, and 3,600sqm over two floors for ECU’s scientists and students to engage with the cyber security industry.

From internal volunteering opportunities at ECU where you can help first year international students, to volunteering in events, conservation and eco, sports, arts and community and welfare volunteering – ECU students can register at the Volunteer Hub to grow and build employability skills whilst studying. Australian Football League (AFL) is an Aussie iconic sport and engrained within Aussie culture. With the roots of the game traced back to the Indigenous game Marn Grook, at first glance it looks like an unusual combination of football (soccer), Gaelic football and rugby. You can catch a game with friends during winter where support in WA is generally split between the ECU sponsored WA champions, West Coast Eagles, or Fremantle Dockers.

Perth is classified as a “regional major city”, meaning that ECU graduates get one additional year of PSWR. Students who graduate from ECU South West campus receive an additional two years of PSWR.
